Meet the Doctor

Many people have asked me

why I chose the chiropractic profession.

My father played a major role in my career decision. From my earliest childhood, he taught me the importance of healthy diet, good exercise, and the practice of paying attention to my body. I have cultivated the seed planted by my father and believe in “healing from within” and that structure dictates function in achieving wellness.

As a child and young adult, I never received chiropractic care and paid little attention to the healthcare industry in general. As a matter of fact, I began college majoring in engineering at Bakersfield College. After I completed two years of pre-engineering courses, my aunt suffered a stroke and I became fascinated with healthcare while witnessing her recovery through alternative health care methods. I then I decided that my future lay in becoming a healthcare provider… but I was unsure how.

After I graduated from BC, I spent many hours at the CSUB library researching alternative, natural health care options. Of the major disciplines – homeopathic, naturopathic, acupuncture, and chiropractic – I was especially drawn to the chiropractic philosophy. The philosophy is the brain and the spinal cord are the central nervous system that control and regulate every single cell, tissue, and organ in our bodies. By adjusting the vertebrae, removing subluxation and nerve interference, one can restore nerve function and achieve wellness.

I decided to enroll in Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles and in 1992 I graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. I have been Board Certified and licensed in California since 1993. 2021 marks 28 years that I have practiced the chiropractic profession. I am fluent in English, Vietnamese and Chinese.

Due to my upbringing, I believe in the innate intelligence, self-healing, and autonomy of our bodies, which are the basic tenets of chiropractic philosophy. As a chiropractor, I specialize in removing subluxation and nerve interference. I incorporate postural correction, nutritional counseling (using supplements and homeopathic remedies), exercise implementation, and Fascial Movement Taping (FMT) in my patient management to restore body structure, function, and accomplish wellness. Huynh Family Chiropractic serves all age groups from pediatric to geriatric. My commitment is to use everything I have learned to restore health to and achieve wellness for all those who come into my clinic.
